:: OutrospectiveFaithlessA very eagerly awaited album that meets the expectations handsomely. Faithless again prove themselves to be fine exponents of the dance music genre, with some cracking tunes. The album contains heavy beats and inspirational vocals as Faithless typically delivers. There’s something for all their fans to capture. You get the hard, bassy style of “Tarantula”. The slower, glorious moods within “Giving Myself Away” and “Code” are winners. On the recent single “We Come 1”, Rollo’s clever house beats are well accompanied by Maxi Jazz’s soulful rapping. It’s uplifting and sure to blow you away on the dance floor. And what about the song titled “Muhammad Ali”. It’s a beautiful track that pays homage to the boxing legend, and its poignant lyrics are superb. It won’t be too hard to be inspired by them. “Crazy English Summer” is most heartfelt also, with glorious vocals by Zoe Johnston. The various tracks run smoothly side-by-side to make a joyous collection of songs. Rollo’s sister Dido, who has enjoyed great solo success this year, lends her angelic vocals to “One Step Too Far”, giving a certain ambience to the song. Overall, Faithless continue their knack for blending their unique musical style fittingly and it will no doubt please fans. |
