A very impressive single here from Faker, a band I must admit I hadn’t heard of until this disc dropped into my stereo. Kids on Overload is passionate and intense, with a wonderful pace that keeps the listener locked into the groove. The vocal is fantastic with some great guitar work towards the end of the track. The single is rounded off with slow-burner Here in my hotel, which while lacking the obvious punch of the first track is still another piece of accomplished songwriting.
