You might remember this outfit from a couple of years ago with an album titled “100 Beacons”. They return with this EP and, apart from its imaginative title, the quality musicianship is once again apparent, together with the thought-provoking lyrics. In fact, the songs tell good stories. Accordingly, the music seems to build invitingly to an uplifting conclusion. “Crystals” contains such a sound, and is a worthy listen. But the songs are pretty even in quality and each demands attention. It has that English eccentricity and is well worth a listen. Another fine release from this label.
