Melbourne boy band CDB broke up over two years ago and Gary Pinto has been working away on a solo record ever since, and what a nice surprise it is. This debut single is not quite what you'd expect, and that's probably a good thing. He's got a great voice sure, but thankfully he resists the temptation to indulge in too many vocal gymnastics. Instead the song is quirky, cruisy and soulful, maybe even a little grungy round the edges. A certified toe-tapper, just right for cruising down the beach in summer.
