:: The Motivation ProclamationGood CharlotteThis is the second single released of Good Charlotte's self titled album. It has a great melody and the vocal harmonies really work with the twins Benji and Joel, as they put in effort to sound as teen as possible to get that younger demographic. “The Motivation Proclamation” does work though with it's confident sound. Yet also on the single are songs that appear to be a little less forward than the harder hitting previous singles. “If You Leave” has that synthesised quality and lacks in strength. The song has slipped further into a pop movement with confused vocals and bad lyrics. I don't know if that has anything to do with the fact they didn't write it. Then, “Let Me Go” picks up a little bit with dignity as the song gets back into a punky mood. Yet, it still lacks in the lyric department, leaving listeners with little more musical knowledge than what they begun with. |
