This is a brand new venture into music from Grant Walmsley, a founding member and main songwriter with The Screaming Jets. As the ‘Jets’ are having “an extended spell”, Grant now comes to the forefront by introducing a high-energy, powerful sound that should be enjoyed by Jets fans, but generally gives good value to any music punter. Grant leads a three-piece outfit through a sparkling arrangement. His Screaming Jets drummer pal of recent years, Hatch, and Felicity Chicoteau on bass and vocals join him. There is an appealing raw sound with Felicity’s striking vocals helping to form a harmonious relationship. Fans of 1960s folk rock may see some retreading in this path, particularly in the acoustic arrangements. It will be interesting to hear further material. Judging by the CD sleeve, Walmsley and co. certainly look the part in forging a new beginning.
