This is a celebration of the INXS we knew with Michael Hutchence at the helm. The collection is a welcome tribute to the band and it showcases how great a singer and songwriter Michael was before his tragic death five years ago. INXS was a mighty fine band of six excellent musicians and would be considered as Australia’s best live act in the last twenty-five years. These forty-one tracks include their great hits and also their underrated songs of the 1990s. Two previously unreleased songs appear as a bonus for INXS fans. “Salvation Jane” was written during the 1988 Kick tour and epitomises the funky tunes that the band issued at that time. “Tight” was written during the time of “Welcome To Wherever You Are” in 1991, where the band was progressing its sound brilliantly from the 1980s. There is no real need to go into the details of the tracks, but the eighteen years cover some magical moments in the band’s life and is another worthy reminder of how great INXS was in that period. http://www.inxs.com.
