:: Water And WoodJodi MartinThis is the debut album from this singer-songwriter. Jodi gives a very mature, competent performance and tells poignant stories – covering typical issues and shares her experiences with a rich voice. An example of the mostly friendly sound is the track “Sometimes I Wonder”, an addictive track that has Melbourne reggae-funk exponent Nicky Bomba as a musician and co-producer on board. She makes you think about the meaning of her songs and good examples are “Fresh Food Men”, “Riddles” and “The Alley”. It is well produced and a very good first album. Worth a listen. |
