An R&B track co-written and produced by The Neptunes, this is from Timberlake’s debut solo album, Justin, which will be released soon. I am unsure how this will go down with N’Sync fans, as it’s a definite shift away from the R&B tradition and ageless girl/boy dramas that made them teen pin-ups. This single seems rough and untreated. His nasal delivery, which at times gets a little whiney, takes a few unpredictable high-pitched turns. A Latino flavour is maintained throughout with an acoustic guitar and The Neptunes don’t let their creative guard down with some unique twists. Good track.
