Kaleidoscope

This Adelaide guitar-pop band has already shown some talent with their earlier EPs, particularly “Slot Car Slut”. They now give us “Earthmover”, a stylish, yet vigorous, song in which vocalist Kylie Cowling displays angst and purpose, while backed by the storming guitar sound. The B-sides contain the freewheeling “Mirror” and the more sedate “Sleeping”, thereby displaying the variety of the band to good effect. This is another spirited indie pop rock release, and they again demonstrate worthy attributes. Hopefully, people in the eastern states of Australia will have an opportunity to check Kaleidoscope live in the near future to witness this force.
