This four track EP presents us with songs that all sound like singles, a great effort from a relatively new NSW band still looking for members to fill out the current two-piece. The actual single, ‘Wired’, sets the scene for some very 80s sounding rock, an assessment helped along by some very Bryan Adams style vocals! I mean that in the best possible sense – this band drop in those kinds of references carefully and appropriately. The guitars are nice and sharp throughout the EP, with both acoustic and electric playing off each other for some interesting listening. Organs and other electronic bits and pieces are used throughout, though in songs like ‘Here it Comes’ they are brought to the front of the song and end up creating a cool 60s pop sound. This EP would be great for summer.
