:: ReanimationLinkin ParkThey broke through two years ago with Hybrid Theory. Now, they follow the well-used path of releasing a remix/reinterpretation album that may seem strange seem even to their fans. The one thing with remaking those songs is that it takes out the rock component, which gave them added credibility. In bringing in the hip-hop, it limits their quality as a rock fan. The hip-hop treatments seem tired and disappointing. The guitars are gone. It’s a completely digital recording of splicing and packaging. Fans who do like rapping and techno will be interested, though I only hope that Linkin Park can return with a new studio album and engineer their skills into the rap-rock area. The majority of fans would surely want more of a live band feel. |
