This talented melodic pop/funk combo comes from Sydney and came to my attention in winning the prestigious Breeding Ground band competition a couple of years ago. They now release their debut release on their own record label Senso Unico Records. The primary songwriter for the group is Lior Attar, a singer with wonderful versatility; capable of sweet and aggressive vocals. Their influences are wide, thereby leading them into diverse musical grounds. One could suggest therefore that the band has introduced themselves to the public by these variations, to indicate that they could move in whatever direction they wish. Good pop sensibilities show out on these five tracks, noting that the light-hearted song “She So Sexy” was engineered and produced by the legendary INXS member Kirk Pengilly. It features the trademark Pengilly guitar also. It’s a worthwhile start for Lior and there is scope for much more.
