Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes

It’s all about exercising musical simplicity. She has the vocal styling and it comes into the partnering of Carl Thomas on the opening track “Life Is Like A Park”. Lisa has been known for her recent work on other people’s records – Mel C and Toni Braxton, to name two, and she now has the credibility to step out. One of the highlights is her posthumous collaboration with Tupac Shakur on “Untouchable”, and the track “Head To The Sky” – an uplifting song featuring vocals by Blaque. Then there are the weird layers of percussion and vocals on “The Block Party”, which set a strange sound. The slow arrangement contains half-sung and half-spoken elements. The vocals are eclectic and enhance the overall flavour. Overall, it’s a well-packaged and mature album that augurs well for her solo career.
