Having remained an underground hiphop anthem in the US for some time and debuting in the U.K at #4, M.O.P's double A-side Cold As Ice/Ante Up has reached Australian shores. Taken from M.O.P's current album “Warriors”, Cold As Ice is obviously a take on Foreigners classic hit of the same name, making the track instantly recognisable. M.O.P has transformed this rock hit into a successful hardcore hiphop track, adding chunky strolling basslines and as much hardcore rhymes as you'd expect from the Mash Out Posse. For all the budding MC's out there they've even included an instrumental cut perfect for karaoke renditions. Ante Up is the equally massive flipside, packed with attitude and party vibe, demonstrating that M.O.P are up with the best with guest appearances by Busta Rhymes, Tephlon and hiphop's next biggest female MC Remy Martin. I believe this song is the stand out track. Stress Y'all is the other track, somewhat of an M.O.P anthem to the gangsta world…very Busta influenced.
