These guys are apparently big stars in their native Canada and with a sound similar to Matchbox 20 it‘s not hard to see why. “Hello Time Bomb” reinforces this, it's been a big hit there and 'MGB’ as they are known are keen for more success in Australia. This is a good enough song, radio friendly and full of choruses you can sink your teeth into. This release is excellent for the uninitiated as it features 5 songs spanning their career. “Hello Time Bomb” is on the current ‘Beautiful Midnight’, the second track “Everything is Automatic” is taken from their debut ‘Underdogs’ album. “Flashdance II”, a brooding piece about a dancer by day, prostitute by night is from ‘Loser Anthems’. The release is competed by a couple of b-sides “Enjoy the Silence” and the excellent “Fated” - an acoustic track filled with imagery - Live would be proud to call it their own. This release is a good blend of catchy and real substance.
