:: Hotel PaperMichelle BranchThis 20-year-old singer-songwriter is making an impact and she offers a captivating set of tracks in this second album. Great success with her debut album “The Spirit Room” meant a determination for Michelle to drive her quest for success further. This album shows the hard work and insightful thought processes that make her enhance her creative skills. I believe she would have gained enormous confidence in working with Carlos Santana on “The Game Of Love”. This track is featured here and it continues to bubble with enthusiasm and bounce. The big hit “Everywhere” is also included, plus the more recent single “Are You Happy Now”. The songs show a greater maturity of character and a free expression of ideas. Listeners should enjoy the duet with Sheryl Crow on “Love Me Like That”, in that it showcases two of America’s best female singers - a rare treat! It’s well produced and Michelle has the aid of some terrific musicians, including the much-liked drummer Kenny Aronoff who has played with some of the legends of rock ‘n’ roll. That’s an indication of how good Michelle is, and the sky is the limit for this young star. |
