Minimum Chips

An eclectic mix of trombone and synths sees an enterprising CD. The EP kicks off well with a warm, pop “Friends” before “Sunny Spot” brings things to life with an addictive groove. “Rounds” has an urgency to keep things running frenetically. Nicole Thibault has a sensuous, at times whispering, voice in effecting a worthwhile companion to the musicianship. The final track “OOOO” takes you into a magical journey of loose noises and crazy sounds. Overall, it’s a most entertaining listen.
