Morcheeba

This is a fine third album that showcases terrific songwriting capacity. Singer Syke delivers some wonderful songs. They have a mostly distinct Latin feel, with a bossa nova element to throw into their usual mix of hip-hop. It’s certainly going to give their popularity a boost. Their collaborators include Slick Rick and Kurt Wagner (of Lambchop). This, in itself, makes for interesting listening. Their love of soundtrack music also plays a part in the big sound created. In these days of numerous chill-out releases, Morcheeba has been amongst the forerunners to this charismatic and popular trend.
