Motor Ace

The band has gained much knowledge and experience from their debut album and now progress quickly into a very expressive, deep sound that grabs attention. They seem to be moving along similar lines to UK band Stereophonics, mainly in terms of the feelings-based emphasis of their music. That’s worthwhile in itself.
“Carry On” is the first single and shows the steps the band has taken into maturing into a cohesive unit. The catchy hooks are noticeable. Keeping Secrets” is the follow up single and is less upbeat, while there are other sombre moments that might surprise even their most ardent fans. The guitar pop and well-crafted songs ring with plentiful hooks and emotions. Watch for “Ride The Wave” as another potential single. Great to see Motor Ace develop into one of Australia’s leading bands and they’re sticking to a fruitful formula at this stage, of honest and accessible music.
