Motorbaby

Motorbaby is the project of the rockin’ New York singer/model Sharon Middendorf. We’d heard her band’s self-titled release a couple of years ago and now Sharon steps up to the plate and delivers fervently and showcases a very straightforward, no-nonsense rock ideology. The progression is obvious and she enlisted various production gurus to conjure up a fine album, combining rock and ballads. Amongst the experienced helpers are Kathy Valentine (ex Go-Go's), Godfrey Diamond (Aerosmith) and Tony Visconti (David Bowie). It’s nice to see the female rocker out there giving it everything. Sharon leads a group of talented musicians. The very good songs come at the start, with the highlights being “So Surprised” – a great hook, and the title song - a terrific ballad. For those outside of North America, this is worth listening to. You must check out the great CD sleeve, showing Sharon in her sexy splendour.
