Some bouncy, funky breaks and house beats epitomise this third album by Mr Scruff. He continues to experiment in hip-hop challenges but generally maintains a smooth jazzy theme that engenders an infectious groove. The elements shine through on “Shrimp”, “Valley of the Sausages” and “Come Alive”. The whole package deserves a listen because of its sheer quality and polished, inventive arrangements. You’ll be attracted by the song titles alone. The humorous CD cover doesn’t understate the treat you’re in for as a music lover.
