Nickelback

This band is one of the revelations of 2001. Nickelback keep everything on the level and rock gloriously. I missed the opportunity to see them live in Melbourne in October but, after several listens to this album, you’d be desperate to see these songs translated live. The band displays purposeful, energetic rock and is well led in the vocals department by Chad Kroeger. They burst onto the scene with the fine single “How You Remind Me”. It’s sure to remain a strong crowd favourite. They bring strong guitar work with other notable tracks such as “Hangnail”, “Hollywood”, and “Woke Up This Morning”. They are a hugely likeable band already and there is scope for much more. A terrific album to ignite interest and renew any lost enthusiasm in today’s music.
