:: Remote ControllerNoogieThis band scored an overseas record deal with Trauma Records and now has their debut album. It’s a solid, unspectacular effort but it sets them up to hopefully do greater things and build from this set. A couple of really good songs stand out including “Summer Falling” – with a classic rock vibe that is akin to the northern Sydney beach sound of many years ago, plus the stirring big sound of “TV Screen”. “E Commerce” has the punk-pop leaning, while “Mr Fabulous” goes an extra notch or two in the punk stakes. They indulge in performing a version of The Easybeats’ classic “Friday On My Mind”, probably as a way of gaining immediate attention. Noogie shows good signs in talent and enthusiasm. They just need to get that individual sound. |
