Oblivia’s latest release, following on from the strong “Mindbomb” single. “Collapse on Me” is a very good catchy pop song. Featuring plaintive, pleading lyrics and a fine melody, it has a bright fresh sound. And the good news is it’s getting a fair bit of airplay around the country. The B-sides back up the main release well. “Mary Come Play” has an early 60’s sound with lots of harmonies and prominent drums. “Sanguine Rose” is another poppy song in the same vein as “Collapse on Me”. This is a well-crafted release, definitely whetting the appetite for further releases from this band.
