Oh Susanna

This American-born Canadian singer-songwriter is a highly regarded talent with her heartfelt earthy music. From a strong musical upbringing, Suzie Ungerleider (AKA Oh Susanna) has a character in her music that gives passion and feeling. Some great melodies and fascinating experiences underlie the strong songs. Generally, there is a more upbeat, positive feeling resonating through, compared to some previously more delicate arrangements. Some notable tracks are “Right By Your Side”, “Cain Is Rising”, and “Billy”. She also feels very Canadian with the song “Little White Lies”. Because of Oh Susanna’s rich, musical diet she brings influences from Rolling Stones through punk and to folk styles. It’s something she has enjoyed in her growing up and what she wants to show to the public. There is real talent in listening to the clear, dynamic voice and the accompanying piano and horns that are well felt in the songs. It’s a terrific album that should see her star rise even further.
