Jessy Turner on vocals is a captivating new voice on the Melbourne music scene. Her musical colleague, Ivan Khatchoyn, shows his devilish knack of creating interesting bests and special effects. He has worked before with New World Souls and Sek. There are dark, electronic grooves to which Jessy’s melodic vocals stands well over. It may be too early to judge their likely impact and the type of music ultimately produced, but the early signs are promising. It’s a cohesive sound of cool, accessible tracks from two people with much enthusiasm in bringing their individualism to the electronic music form. “Bimbo” blends in a light drum ‘n’ bass touch while “State Of Mind” delivers a well-paced beat. Already we can observe that Oscillate has the capacity to produce a vigorous electronic-influenced sound structure, and we should follow them with interest.
