Pacifier

They say that music transcends all boundaries and all situations. Well, much heartache went into the decision of Shihad to change their name to Pacifier, as a result of the September 11 tragedy of 2001. Therefore, the band, that has built a great following in New Zealand, Australia, and parts of the USA, have had to “take two” and have the task of making a new name for themselves. Musically, the guys are as frenetic and tight as ever, maturing through the tragic events, which had a marked effect on them. Check the personal and dramatic lyrical content. “Comfort Me” is the first single – a natural for its energy and the circumstances surrounding it. They worked with well-known producer Josh Abrahams who added a bit more of a rounded sound. Other fine tracks include “Walls” and “Run”. We look forward for an interrupted path for this powerhouse, hard-working band in the future as they look for international success.
