:: Sister Flute And The Sunday Best

Palladium

This Queensland band grabs the opportunity well after their interesting “Hoarsey” EP to compile a confident, self-assured debut album. It is generally good solid rock ‘n’ roll and the songs merit a good listen. Amongst the variety of material comes “Talkin’ Trash” with horns, “Give It”, and “Breathe”, which is very anthemic. Palladium displays very tight musicianship and the fine mixing captures the true essence of the purposeful style. Good punchy deliveries come in the shape of “A Little Crazy” and “Good Girl”. The song “See Things Through” is a shining example of what they can offer. Overall, this is an efficient album, and, providing they get good support, promising signs are apparent. They can set themselves up to be one of new vibrant bands to be excited about.
