Paul Weller

Veteran British rocker Paul Weller calls on a couple of special guests in Kelly Jones (Stereophonics) and Noel Gallagher (Oasis) to lend a hand, but this is mostly a solo effort in his typical honest and striking way. Weller massages the songs with tinges of R&B and soul; just enough to indicate that he’ll use those elements as an influence. Listen out to “A Bullet For Everyone”, quite interesting when reflecting on post-September 11 thoughts. Generally, he talks of the world’s woes, singing socially and politically minded songs.
