Peach is the band that Maynard Keenan found for fellow Tool member Justin Chancellor. It is every Tool fan’s dream and adds to the impressive side projects that Tool members have orchestrated. This release, originally on a small label several years ago, comes at a good time, following Tool’s Australian tour earlier this year. It contains pounding sounds of punk/electronic proportions with a slice of Brit pop. Highlights include “Spasm” – heavy guitars amid milder moments, a cover of King Crimson’s “Catfood”, and the metal-based rock of “Burn”, which is sure to interest listeners. The passion that is shown with the pounding guitars and drums will be winner for Tool fans and other rock heads. It begs the question: Will they return in the future?
