This is another single from the “Odyssey Number Five” album that has seen Powderfinger stamp their authority on the Australian music scene in the last twelve months. “The Metre” is another strong song by them and showcases Bernard Fanning’s great vocals and the band’s musical ability. They’ve added a few extra tracks on this single to boot. Another delectable song from the album is “Waiting From The Sun”. This gets an airing here, as well as a cover of Iron Maiden’s “Number Of The Beast”. Fancy that! And “Odyssey Number 3” deals differently with the album’s title track.
