:: Iâm Just A KidSimple PlanThis song sounds like it could well be the next teenage anthem. It is an empathetic, yet quirky, song that anyone can relate to. It possesses the same kind of self-loathing, loneresque attributes as does Wheatus’ ever so popular Teenage Dirtbag and Good Charlotte’s Little Things. It’s really humorous to hear the singer of this Punk Rock band carry on about being a loner and having no friends when he just sounds so positive and happy about it. With obvious MxPx and Blink 182 influences in tow, even though I’m Just A Kid is all about living a life in solitude, it’s a song that is guaranteed to make you smile every time you hear it. The other two songs on the CD single are nearly as great as the main track, holding the same upbeat yet rocking formula that makes I’m Just A Kid stand out so much from everything else on the radio at the moment. |
