This is an artist who has gathered much experience in playing guitar for a number of American bands over the years. This is his solo debut album and he provides some reflective and catchy tracks. Spike’s guitar work is varied and polished as he spins through highlight songs “What Yer Missing” and “She Used To Be My Baby”. Generally, there are relaxed country and pop influences, with “The Right Thing” being typical of the album’s mood. There are also unlisted tracks that will surprise. Overall, it’s a welcome listen for something different to what you’re hearing on the radio these days.
