TISM were always a better live act than one you could sit and listen to at home, so its great to have a compilation of their best, which is to some extent, reflective of their live set, lists. We may miss out on their renowned visual gags, which were a mainstay of their festival appearances, but what we do have is a great summation of their very intelligent wit and irreverence. This cd is comprised of all their ‘best jokes’ from their often-patchy LPs, which always had a few winning tracks with plenty of losers. A personal highlight is Saturday Night Palsy, which was performed on Hey Hey It’s Saturday! The liner notes are extensive and intensely hilarious, a valuable document of their very Australian humour. Buy this for your own piece of intelligent Aussie rock.
