Temporal Lobe

This is the third release from the Adelaide rockers Temporal, and their first full-length CD. The quality of this rock recording is outstanding for a self-released album and as such is a great showcase for their talents. This four-piece are extremely tight and I can imagine that their live shows would be pretty brutal! Damien Shen’s vocals are very professional, and are ably backed by strong drums and innovative guitar. They are reminiscent of Tool and other such thoughtful rock at times. The Sydney label Half a Cow quite rightly chose this release for demo of the week on their web site, and I hope that such accolades continue. I would like to see Temporal Lobe given the full studio treatment by a forward-thinking label, as I imagine that they would create something powerful.
