Tha Dogg Pound

2002 is a nice trip down memory lane for Tha Dogg Pound with friends and guests collaborating on the album. It features previously released material that has been specially saved for this occasion and some new sounds too. While you have Nate Dogg, Xzibit and Kurupt featuring on songs like living the Gansta Life and Way Too Often. The veterans of Hip Hop being 2PAC, Snoop Dogg share the songs Don't Stop and Every Single Day. Just Doggin is the first single released of the 2002 album featuring Nate. Dogg who brings a whole new level to the song and there are great rhymes yet it feels as if something is still missing. A Change Tha Game remix features on the album with special guest appearances from Jay Z, Beanie Sigel and Mephis Bleak which makes you bounce but isn't satisfying. 2002 is a good album with some great tunes and some good rhymes but it seems that it isn't what it used to be and no matter how hard you try and how good it may sound the old school styling of Gangsta Rap has been misplaced.
