The Calling

The Calling is an interesting band, and one I suspect will move in high circles. Lead singer Alex Band has a strong presence and versatility in punching out these songs. It’s a very capable album, laced with solid rock ballads, including “Wherever You Will Go”, which has already made its presence felt on the singles charts. The rest of the album is more or less in keeping with that style. Examples of their honest songs are “Final Answer” and “Stigmatized”. Aaron Kamin (guitarist) and Alex Band form a good songwriting partnership. They can rock it out with numbers like “Adrienne”. Some may consider this as friendly, safe rock. The Calling has something to offer and look likely to be a strong act, something of the Creed status. They are already becoming steadily popular in the USA and Europe.
