They’ve come from a stint as Beck’s backing band in 2002. Now, they collaborate with the Chemical Brothers. They perform live covers of Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head”, Beck’s “The Golden Age”, and a studio cover of Radiohead’s “Knives Out”. The cover of Kylie’s monster hit is something to behold – turning it into an epic rock drama. They do a wonderful job with it. Their new tracks include the oddly titled “Thank You Jack White”, a blues-tinged number dedicated to The White Stripes star, plus the mid-tempo and synth inspired “The Strange Design of Conscience”. There is also an enhanced CD component that features the “Fight Test” video and a movie trailer for the band’s film “Christmas On Mars”. This is a great bonus for fans.
