:: Gutterflower

The Goo Goo Dolls

Having been together for fifteen years, the Goo Goo dolls have again offered us album number three Gutterflower, which they began recording late in 2001. This twelve-track album was recorded with Vintage Instruments at Hollywood’s legendary Capital Records (where the likes of Sinatra had also recorded) taking as little as four months to get down. This album includes multi-media, playable on most computers, and an Internet key to access exclusive Goo Goo Dolls material. The theme of this album is a great one quote “Being honest with yourself and with others and seeking out those who will return the favour. Being a radio friendly album the tracks that stood out for me were What A Scene, Sympathy, and What I Need. Big Machine is very them as well as Up, Up, Up and Here is Gone which I feel has similarities to the previous single Iris taken from Dizzy Up The Girl. If you enjoyed their first album and found it easy to listen to, go out and buy Gutterflower. Experience the honesty held in this album. I did and hope you do too. Fans will enjoy the CDROM component that has some snazzy features.
