:: New York City

The Peter Malick Group feat. Norah Jones

Following on from the massive success of Norah Jones’ debut album comes the Peter Malick Group EP ‘New York City’. Featuring the vocal talents of Jones, the CD is an excellent mixture of jazz, blues and a touch of soul in one very neat package. Drawing on his vast experiences, both personal and professional, Malick has produced an EP that skillfully conjures images of the New York club scene. Bar the superb rendition of Bob Dylan’s ‘Heart of Mine’, and Sam Maghett’s ‘All Your Love’, Malick has penned all the songs, sharing with the listener his view of a place that is as awesome as it is manic and lonely. The EP title track ‘New York City’, perhaps best sums up Malick’s feelings towards the place with the line, ‘New York City, such a beautiful disease’.
