:: Kiss KissThe WeekendThis Canadian band shows some good qualities without actually setting the world on fire. There is a good deal of spirit and energy in the songs as they mature from their 2002 self-titled album. Lead singer Andrea warms to her audience in being quite gentle at times and she can also turn into a fervent princess of passion at other times. There aren’t any real standouts. The band displays evenness in performance in moulding the songwriting ideas into a cohesive musical output. The previous album was more of a revelation into their ability but the prowess here shouldn’t be underestimated. We’ll watch their future development with interest. |
