The Whitlams

This is the new single for the Whitlams off the album “Love This City”. It has a catchy chorus with great verses lyrically and musically. There are soothing vocals produced by Tim Freedman as always and the song has this originality that works well with the Whitlams usual style, especially the strings in the verse.. The single also offers music from other albums. Gough, which is off “Introducing the Whitlams” and Charlie No. 3 off “Eternal Nightcap” are both live and it shows the variety in their music with Gough’s up tempo swing sound and Charlie No.3’s soft, classic ballad and their brilliant live skills. The last song on the single is acoustic version of their popular song Blow Up The Pokies. The keyboard acts as the melody and with the violin accompaniment it adds certain deepness to the song and makes more powerful and beautiful.
