:: Andy Glitre Presents The Rhythm MethodVarious ArtistsAndy Glitre has been a stalwart on the Australian music radio scene for many years, capturing elements of the dance scene and presenting it positively. This 2-CD set sees him compile some interesting Australian dance extracts to indicate the high standard we can achieve here. Recently released paulmac song “Just The Thing” gets worthy representation, along with the well-sampled “Is It Love” by Chili Hifly. Madison Avenue has done much to advance the Aussie dance cause recently, and their album mix of “Fly” is suitable here. That is an early track of theirs that doesn’t feature Cheyne Coates. Melbourne’s keen dance exponent Nathan G deservedly has the Sweet Break House Mix of “Tell Me” on offer. With energetic, well-produced tracks such as “The Bass Has Got Me Movin’” by [Love] Tattoo, and Hi Fi Mike’s “Stereo Flavas”, there is good solid representation of Australian dance standards. One nostalgic treat is the track “Supersonic” from Oliver Twist (yes!), a member from the 80s band Big Pig. |
