The Barlotti 2-CD compilation is a classy, yet eclectic, set of tracks. The music introduces us to the restaurant that opened up in Paris, France. DJ Milly DeMori, a Milanese woman who lives in New York and who has played at many prestigious clubs, selected the tracks. All tracks on “Barlotti” are by Italian artists. The first CD has a jazzy feel that brings back the mood of Italy in the 1960s. The approach to the second CD is more uptempo, with electronic and Latin house components. The range is well managed, in Milly compiling samba, jazz and lounge grooves. It’s well expressed and shows much passion – a real musical treat.
