A great initiative by Sydney’s Foghorn Records to develop the local electronica scene and provide an opportunity through this compilation of unsigned acts. Good value throughout and some local radio stations have already picked on one of the tracks, “Bass Trap” by Price Cuts featuring Yoshi. There is some worthy talent here and we hope to hear more from them in the future. The cruisey breaks of Rachael Berry shows talent, as does Debasa’s heavier, kicking breaks, which take things up a notch in noise. Yoshi returns later with a wicked “My DJ”, a hard trance track with a cool vocal sample. The set show how well Australian producers stand up when heard. This is enticing stuff with plenty of noise and cheek.
