:: Music For DancefloorsVarious ArtistsThis is the second in the Music for Dancefloors series compiled by the Strut label. The library music was set up for background music in advertising and television back in the 60s and 70s. None of it was ever commercially released. The first collection featured mainly British composers. This volume is more European and contains different styles, although still focused on the dancefloors. There is a great Afro percussion jam track “Afro Beat/Afro Syn” from Nino Nardini, and a great track from 1969 titled “Following You”, a lounge core hybrid.. Funk and jazz elements will appeal to music lovers. Some gorgeous music here that has remained locked away for so long, and we should be thankful that it has been uncovered. |
