The Sleaze Ball is an annual party held in Sydney that raises funds for the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. Because the 2003 Mardi Gras is in doubt because of financial concerns, greater importance has been placed on the marketing of this double CD of twenty-five tracks. There is guaranteed chaos at the Sleaze Ball with the club goers making every post a winner. Sydney DJ Paul Goodyear mixes the first CD. He delves into some eclectic tribal sounds and shows the adrenalin rush that diehard clubbers will love. Melbourne DJ Peter McNamara does the job on the second CD. He leans towards a more commercial house sound with very funky grooves. One good move was to include a remix of one of Kylie Minogue’s recent good songs, “Butterfly”. This will add value to potential buyers and McNamara gives it a due pounding. This is a fine collection for serious clubbers.
