The Viper Room is a long-standing nightclub in Melbourne, having just celebrated its fifth birthday. Being at the forefront of cutting-edge music, a third volume of the Viper Room CD series has been produced to mark the big occasion. Two of the Viper Room's favourite DJs, King Karim and Charlie Zee compile the tracks on this collection and they are well versed with the club vibe on a Friday and Saturday night. Accordingly, the atmosphere and vibe of each night is well captured. Karim’s selection follows the thumping regime synonymous of the night’s sound. It is a clever selection and it builds towards a strong climax. A couple of highlights are “De Bom 2001” and “Take Me Away”. Charlie Zee is very experienced at Melbourne clubs and his selection for the Viper Room CD show his penchant for house and trance flavours, with the feature of strings being an important ingredient. It’s worth checking the tracks “Carrera 2”, “Beautiful World”, and “Sun Is Coming Out”. Overall, it’s a fine selection that celebrates a fine club in Melbourne.
