Now a four-piece band, Waikiki returns impressively with this new single. Under the helm of Ric Ocasek, who spent a deal of time with the band in 2001, this shows a bit more bite and flair in showcasing their undoubted talent. The accessible pop-rock sound still has that appealing indie flavour. Lead singer Juanita Stein puts in an effortless vocal performance and the harmonica by Joel is rare and attractive to the song’s mood.
